Using those nappies straight from birth? Here are some tips & tricks on how to fit them around bub's umbilical stump.
Where to start?
So many nappies! But where do you start? If you are new to cloth nappies we recommend starting with the easiest nappies to fit; the preflat style (SHP preflat + Bubblebubs BamBam nappies). Once you get the hang of these then you can dive into the prefolds. It will take a bit of fiddling around to begin with the find the right fit for your bub but you will be a pro at fitting these fabulous nappies in no time!
What to use when?
Waterproof Covers: Always! Waterproof covers are required over your traditional style nappies to create a complete nappy. Velcro covers are similar to disposables so we recommend using velcro at night when you want a quick nappy change (often done in the dark!) or when you want an easy nappy change for carers or grandparents.
Preflats: They are perfect for times when you want a quicker nappy change with less folding required. They are also nice and trim, perfect for fitting under those cute little baby outfits!
Prefolds: These nappies are perfect for heavy wetters or times when you need the nappy to last longer (nap times etc).
