Microfleece Liners:
Some modern cloth nappies don't come with an inbuilt stay dry layer so these microfleece liners are perfect for placing closest to bub's skin to wick away moisture.
How to Use:
We have a helpful video on how to fit a modern cloth nappy here.
You can find information on each nappy in this package here.
When to use microfleece liners and how? Find out here.
Using those nappies straight from birth? Here are some tips & tricks on how to fit them around bub's umbilical stump.
Where to start?
So many nappies! But where do you start? It is easier to dive in rather than overthink everything, cloth nappies are really simple and you will get the hang of it quicker than you think, we promise!
If you are new to cloth nappies we recommend starting with the easiest nappies to fit; the velcro waists! The Baby BeeHind nappy with the inbuilt inserts & lack of rise settings is so simple and the closest you can get to a disposable nappy.
If bub arrives on the smaller size then we recommend starting with the Alcmena (use one insert at a time if you can) & the Bubblebubs BoPeep which will give you a nicer fit on a smaller bub.
What to use when?
If you want the nappy to last longer (i.e. naps or trips out and about) then the Alcmena newborn is super absorbent. The hemp + bamboo insert set is sure to last you for longer periods of time when needed.
Velcro covers are similar to disposables so we recommend using velcro at night when you want a quick nappy change (often done in the dark!) or when you want an easy nappy change for carers or grandparents.
The Bubblebubs BoPeep nappies are a nice trim nappy option so these are your go to nappies when you have those cute little outfits that require a trim nappy underneath!
Running behind in your washing? Then the wipe-down covers (Alcmena + Junior Tribe Co) can be reused betweeen washes and you can always mix and match inserts between nappies if your clean stash is running low!TAGS:
